Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress who is famous for her role in Hum Aapke Hai Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is among the most well-known Indian actors. She was first known for the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Koopor. Her next appearance was in Dil which she starred alongside Aamir. In Mumbai, she was raised by middle class parents. At a very young age, she started to study dance. She started acting when young and fought for several years because the majority of her first films were flops. The actress gained fame and was one of India's top film actresses. The marriage of her mother led to a hiatus from her acting career. Later, she returned. She played a major role in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit was nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. She won eight of the awards. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit. It is India's fourth highest civil honor. Her fame is based on her social works as well.
